The silicone-coated glass fiber cloth is made from non-asbestos long filaments and alkali-free glass fiber yarns. Then, a special liquid silicone rubber is applied on one side along with different color pigments. The physiological inert silicone rubber not only enhances strength and improves the surface's wear resistance, but also has the functions of heat insulation, fire resistance, low smoke emission, ozone resistance, water resistance, grease resistance, anti-oxidation aging and climate aging. 

Glass fiber fabrics coated with silicone have high flexibility and can provide excellent protection for fabrics, being used for insulation blankets and other heat-resistant components. The working temperature range of this glass fiber fabric is from -70ºC to 260ºC. Silicone-coated glass fiber fabrics have good flexibility, puncture resistance and tear resistance. The dry surface of this fabric does not stick to the sewing table, making it easier to drape and handle. The silicone coating can withstand a peak temperature of up to 260ºC/500ºF. The coating will char or decompose at these temperatures, but the underlying fabric may have higher heat resistance.
